We chose the name Sunday Morning Studios because it is a reflection of the work that we do, and how we do it.
Sunday mornings remind us of family, and beautiful, carefree days. On Sundays, we don’t rush. We take our time as we mindfully sip our cup of coffee. Sundays remind us of home – the smell of mom’s cooking, the sound of classic songs playing on the radio. On Sundays, we put our guards down, and enjoy being our truest selves.
Our style is simple and honest. We find balance between unobtrusively giving guidance and allowing moments to naturally unfold while being fully prepared to capture them. We love the beautiful natural light but are equipped to shoot in low light when needed. Our photographs are bright and crisp with colors that are vibrant and true to life!
Absolutely! We are here to give you gentle guidance for photographs that require a little direction while giving you space to be comfortable. We won’t give directions that feel inauthentic to you.
We do know that your wedding day is not just about the photographs. It’s about fully immersing yourself in the moment, letting your guards down, and just breathing it all in. It’s about looking at each other in the eye when you say your vows, giving the tightest and warmest of hugs to the people who are there, laughing out loud, and dancing to your heart’s content! These moments, after all, make for beautiful photographs that are honest and full of love!
What we learned through a decade (and counting) of shooting weddings is that wedding photographs or weddings in general aren’t supposed to stand out. They are not meant to be the most beautiful, or most different, and out of the box amongst others. It just has to be honest and pure, and beautiful, TO YOU.

Crisp, bright and fresh were the aesthetic we wanted for our wedding photos and we're happy to have found Team SMS as they were able to deliver exactly that. They took the time to get to know not just us, the couple, but our family and friends as well to make our photos look natural and genuine. When I saw my friend’s wedding photos, I instantly knew I wanted Sunday Mornings to be my future wedding photographer. Their pictures are bright and candid, something I, the bride really wanted. Even with minimal posing, the team was able to get beautiful photos! I loved our candid shots too. Overall, we loved working with SMS. I smile everytime I see our wedding photos.
We were looking for a photographer who has that unique eye in capturing us and the event without being staged or dramatic.
